Nobody can say
that personalization takes a backseat when it comes to the 2018 Colorado. For
its 100th year as a leading manufacturer of full-size pickups,
Chevrolet went all out to give long time fans more choices. The 2018 Colorado’s
baseline starts out with an already impressive set of features, including a
GM-exclusive Duramax Turbo-Diesel Engine, a maximum 308 horsepower and
available towing of up to 7,700 lbs, but its commemorative Special Editions go
the extra mile. If you’re not one to settle for the norm, perhaps one of these
choices will be more suited to your tastes.
Centennial Edition
With its unique
stylings, there’s no doubt that the Colorado Centennial Edition is the star of
the show for this model year. This Z71-off road capable truck sports heritage
bowtie emblems, Centennial door badges, Centennial Edition badging and the
signature Centennial Blue exterior. To tie in the look, Chevrolet has also
added 18-inch wheels with monochromatic bowties, and chrome door handles,
mirror caps, belt lines and tow hooks.
Midnight and Dusk Editions
The Colorado 2018
ZR2 debuts with the stunning Midnight and Dusk Editions. Featuring blacked out
17-inch 5-spoke wheels, Chevy bowties and sport bar with off-road LED lighting,
Midnight and Dusk cut striking figures on any road. Both options come with
offroad suspension, off-road rocker protection, 4-wheel disc brakes, front and
rear electronic locking differential, multimatic shocks, and hill descent
control. Midnight is also available in LT and Z71 options.
Redline Edition
For the first
time ever, the Colorado gets a Redline Edition, complete with sporty red and
black accents and a design that leans more towards urban. Officially released
last Spring, Colorado Redline Edition comes with all black window trim, mirror
caps, door and tailgate handles, bowties, grille and off-road assist steps. Red
recovery hooks and 18-inch wheels with red accents gives it quite a strong
presence.
Shoreline Edition
The Shoreline
Edition is specifically designed for beach lovers. GearOn Tiered Storage Racks,
a Thule Stand Up Paddle Board Carrier and premium all-weather floor liners are
its most notable features. Though, that isn’t to say that its appearance is in
anyway unremarkable. On the contrary, the Shoreline Edition is an awe-inspiring
sight with limited colors, spray-in bedliner, body-color grille, as well as
black door handles, mirrors, beltline moldings and bowtie emblems.
