The 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500’s base engine is a very capable 4.3-liter V6 engine. It puts out an impressive 285 horsepower at 5300 rpm and a best-in-class 305 lb.-ft at 3900 rpm. With this much power and torque, you can easily tow up to 7,600 lbs. Even so, this V6 engine also achieves a remarkable EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway.

5.3-Liter EcoTec3 V8
